I know you can set a password or a fingerprint to unlock your phone, but if they find it unlocked, they can get access EVERYTHING... Until this App Lock came along! This app allows you to individually lock selective apps on your phone. Don’t want your mum reading your messages? App Lock. Don’t want your friends stealing your embarrassing photos? App Lock. It literally does it all.
But let us show you: To get App Lock, go to your Play Store and type it in – it’s on the top of the charts, so it shouldn’t be too hard to find. While you’re downloading the app, scroll through the page to have a look at more information, examples and user reviews.
Now it’s time to secure ultimate privacy and protection. When opening the app, you will be asked to secure and confirm an unlock pattern, as well as a security email – and then you’re in. If you already have your fingerprint installed on your phone, simply go to settings and enable it. If you haven’t, it will scan your fingerprint right then and there.
Once you’re in securely, you will see all of the options you have and all the apps you can protect. It will show you advanced apps, and then every other app you have on your phone. Every single one.
There are also different ways you can choose to lock your apps. You can set a time in which you want your apps to lock, or unlock, and the same applies to your location and certain wifi networks.
If you go to your settings, you will be able to control all of these functions. In addition, a cool bonus to this app, you can pick your own theme, if that tickles your fancy.
So now it’s time to test it out. Scroll through your apps on the Privacy page and pick one you’d like to lock. Click on the lock icon, and it will ask you for access to your apps so that it can control whether they can be seen by everyone or not. Once you've secured a lock on an app, go test it out! Tap on the app icon and, boom! It will not open unless you provide your unlock pattern or fingerprint!
We think this app is amazing and creative, and a huge life-saver for those of us who want to keep all of our information private, even from our pesky kids who can guess our password.
