Looped videos are the biggest craze right now, bringing small movements to pictures – whether the person is chugging back a drink or about to score a legendary goal, Boomerang has been all over people's Instagram profiles.
Tinder is currently testing the possibility of a two-second looping video feature to add to peoples profiles similar to Boomerang. It would be Tinder's first video-based feature allowing users to upload videos and trim the video within the app. The aim is to allow users to show a different side to themselves that pictures may not convey, prompting them to get creative and show off the fun side of their personality (if they have one).
Tests are currently being carried out in Sweden and Canada for iOS devices. Tinder has explained to users how they will be able to upload their videos saying: "click the “add media” button on your profile. Once you select your video, drag the time strip to select your desired Loop. Preview your Loop before you add it to your profile."
Tinder also said they're "testing the ability to add nine photos or Loops in your profile instead of six." This means that people's profiles will be able to be more diverse which is a major improvement seeing that Tinder literally relies on peoples profile photos alone.
Tinder has finally caught up with the video train! What do you think about it?
