Redditworld, the renound media sharing app has announced several changes to their iOS app to make it more interactive and social. Reddit relies on users sharing links, memes and pictures that form the content of the site. It allows you to leave comments below the post, up vote and down vote posts.
Users are now able to communicate with each other privately using the chat function. A theatre mode will allow users to view images, videos and GIFs more easily on a mobile device, which will also display comments in real time as well as a "cake day" button that will allow users to mark the anniversary of the day that they joined Reddit. Moderators benefit from the new updates as the "mod mode" will make it easier for moderators to approve and remove content with the new mod queue that controls content and spam in bulk.
The changes shift the focus of Reddit as a site to the whole platform being available as an app. Reddit aims to shift its focus to a greater extent on the mobile version of the site which seems to be improving at a rapid rate.
