The food is cooked in HDPE bags filled with ingrediences and spices, submerged in water that varies in temperature which circulates to cook the food. It is also able to refrigerate your food so that it doesn't spoil before the timer goes off for it to cook. As long as you are connected to Wi–Fi you are good to go and can cook the food from anywhere.
The app will also allow you to give feedback on how you liked the food cooked and the app can suggest changes to suit your preferred taste. The startup company that founded the Mellow sous de vide machine is being sold for $600 for those who have pre-ordered it as it is not available in retail stores yet.
