To get the app, go to your app store and search for Vimeo – it'll be the first to come up. After finding it, feel free to scroll the page for more information about the app. Once it has installed, open the app and you will be blasted away by the montage of Vimeo clips that appear behind the sign-up options. Once you can pull your eyes away, choose how you'd like to sign up – Name, email, password - and you're in!
A great thing about Vimeo is that it wants to personalise your feed for you so that you can view exactly what sparks your interest and passion. After signing up, it will ask you to pick your favourite categories, which helps them suggest creators and channels for you to follow. Look around to find categories that you like (travel, documentary, tech tutorials, and more) and your feed will be the perfect fit for you.
You'll then reach your Feed and see how it has been populated for you. Scroll down to see creators, their videos and their ideas, then head to your profile where you can add a picture, location and bio. This is the place where you can upload your own materials, and join the creators.
There are more features that are useful to ultimately meet your needs on Vimeo. These include the Explore feature, where you can discover more channels and videos Vimeo thinks you might like, your Library (where you save offline videos, save videos you would like to watch later, etc), the "search" feature, and your notifications. You will receive notifications when people follow you and when people interact with any videos you upload.
Speaking of which, Vimeo makes uploading your own video quick and easy. Simply go to the last icon on the right, the Upload Video page, and allow Vimeo to access your files so you can upload your media. Once that's done, simply scroll through the videos on your device and pick one you want to share. Let it load, and it's on your profile.
Once your video is on your profile, adapt the video settings to present your artwork the way you want – make your title and description, and choose who will be able to view the video publicly.
