Find My Device is an Android device tracker – excellent to use when trying to find a lost device. This app is exclusively for Android devices, and not only tracks Android smartphones but all other Android smart devices too.

There are many phone tracker apps out there but we at Mobapp feel this one stands out for its unique simplicity, easy-to-use and helpful functions and features. It's also free and doesn't trick you into paying for anything later (as many apps do!).
Here's how to get started:
Go to your Google Play Store and type in "Find My Device". A dark green icon (looking similar to a speech bubble with a device inside) will appear - click on that one! While you're waiting for the app to install, there is an abundance of information on the app page that explains to you the exact features that Find My Device provides you, as well as other user reviews.
Now the app is installed, and it's ready to get started. No need to sign up for the app because you can simply sign in with your Google/Gmail account, therefore the sign-in process is quick and easy. Once you've signed in, the app will ask permission to access your device's location. Of course, this is necessary in order for the app to find your phone.
You will then be on the app, and you will see that a map appears with multiple features you can use to find your phone – even if your location is off. However, your location setting will need to be on in the case that you lose your phone and are trying to track it.
Ever lost your phone in the couch, and spent half the morning searching for it in your apartment? Well, luckily, this app has a "Play Sound" feature. This means it will play your ringtone (without you having to call) so you can locate your device nearby.
You can also 'Lock Phone". This allows you to secure your device remotely and help someone get in touch if they find your phone.
When you enable your location setting on your device, you will notice that the app refreshes the map, and will tell you exactly where your phone is – in this case, it will say "in your hand"! You can then also click on the icon on the top right hand of the screen to see more options.
