This mobile karaoke app is incredible - not only for fun karaoke but for singers looking to find their voice. Sing! lets you pick from a selection of songs, record them, modify your recording and share with others. Other Sing! users can follow you, and even invite you to sing a virtual duet with them regardless of where they are on the globe. There is also a video option to record your song so you can share on social media platforms!
Here's how to join the fun:
Step 1: Download the app. Go to your app store and type in "Smule Sing", and you will see the purple, blue and pink icon with a microphone pop up! Select the app, scroll through user reviews and more information if you wish, and then click install. Sing! will then be downloaded and installed onto your device.
Step 2: Open the app. On the opening page, you are given different options of how to sign up – through Facebook, using your email account or your phone number – choose your pick, and get started! Fill in your username and password, choose your profile photo and you're in. Sing! will ask you to pick up to four genres of music that you like to sing to make their suggestions more accurate. Then, in order to unlock the long selection of songs that Sing! has to offer, you'll need to record your first solo, so go ahead, pick your song!
Step 3: Recording the unlock solo. First, the app will recommend that you use headphones for your recording. This provides better music quality and gets rid of the noises around you, then it's time to record. Your instrumental song will begin, lyrics on the screen, and you start singing – just like normal karaoke! In addition, the note bars will show up at the bottom and glitter as you sing, this will indicate whether or not you are hitting the right notes.
Step 4: Saving your first unlock solo. Once you have finished your first recording you will be able to listen to a playback. Then you can add effects to the song and even modify your voice if you feel you missed a note or two.
Step 5: You're in! Now you can see all the songs in the Songbook that are available for you to sing. You'll notice that some of the songs are VIP and need to be paid for – well, you pay for quality. But there are still many free songs to sing! You can view your profile and check your notifications to see who has already followed you and if any other users have invited you to sing with them. Go into settings if you'd like to make any changes.
