The TechCrunch mobile app desperately needed a design refresh – so they rebuilt it from the ground up!
As of today, you can download the new and improved app in the iOS App Store or the Google Play Store. And if you already have the older version, all you need to do is update!
The new TechCrunch app provides a modernized interface that is quick and fun to interact with. It also has conveniences like offline sync and personalized push notifications baked-in, front and centre.
But the biggest change you'll notice is that you can now customize your experience by selecting the topics that interest you the most. After picking your topics, you will not only get a personalized section of news within the app, but you'll also be able to get push notifications for breaking news related to your chosen topics.
This means you'll be the first to know about big stories that matter to you – saving you a bunch of browsing time as well!
There is also a new feature addition called "save for later" – because not everyone has the time to read news as soon as it breaks! This feature allows you to access articles even when you're offline, so you can catch up with the latest on the plane, train or anywhere you are when you have the time!
In addition, Crunchbase data profiles have been included in the new version of the app in order to add additional context to the stories you read. The data profiles are visible at the bottom of each article and can be expanded to read more about the company included in the article!
